Often our devices are infected with malicious programs that steal our data therefore they become unsafe to use when resetting our account’s security.
My computer updated and I can no longer see shared file or folders.
For Windows 10:
Press Windows +R buttons> in the Run dialog, type Control Panel and click OK> Select Network and the Internet> Choose Network and Sharing Center> Select Change advanced sharing settings (on the left side)> Under Private (Network Discovery), make sure that Turn on network discovery option is selected> Under Guest or Public (File and Printer Sharing), make sure that Turn on file and printer sharing option is selected> Under All Networks (Password protected sharing), make sure Turn off password protected sharing is off.
I have an old computer. How do I dispose of it properly?
It is very important to dispose of your old hardware properly due sensitive information. Formatting a drive or deleting files does not remove data from the drive. One can easily recover data from the formatted drive by using a data recovery tool.
We offer disposal services, where disks are securely wiped. We use erase standards that follow regulatory compliance that must be met if you are business and collect confidential information from customers or company.
Contact us for a quote if you have several computers you need to dispose.
